Don’t blame me
Until you slandered me with you insecure words and tainted memories, I romanticized our breakup. I held out hope that you’d come to your senses, perhaps even salvage a friendship. When we were together, I smothered you with my love, affection and time to reassure you that I was yours. None of this was enough. And now months after our end, you rehash the drama to play the victim. Don’t forget, you were the fool that brought the past into our present. You were the fool whose insecurities stopped the formation of a good thing.
Don’t blame me!
