It's National Dog Day!

Did you know today is National Dog Day? Created in 2004 by Colleen Paige, a Pet & Animal Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate, National Dog Day is intended to celebrate our four-legged best friends for the countless roles they play in our lives. It's also a day to educate others about the importance of adopting a shelter animal.

I plan to celebrate the day by giving Angel tons of eating peanut butter treats and lots of belly rubs. She deserves the special treatment and so much more because she always reminds me not to take life so seriously. But the most important lesson I've learned from my doggy princess is to live in the moment. Our walks are special because it's a time for us to meet new dogs and dog owners while appreciating our beautiful South Florida environment. I'm doing my best to appreciate the moments like my Angel.
