3 Things I'm Obsessed With

3 Things I'm Obsessed With

In the weeks since my layoff I've reduced my expenses and spending while I pursue freelance and consulting work. I'm making it a point to practically spend my money as it will be the key to me thriving during this period of transition. That being said, I gave myself a spending allowance and I decided to splurge on a two products that caught my eye, in addition to, a product I need for my budding business.

1. The Perfect Tea Maker from Teavana

When I'm not at home, I'm all about Starbucks soy lattes but when I am home there's nothing I love more than a warm cup of tea. A couple weeks ago while window shopping at the mall, I saw the Perfect Tea Maker at Teavana and I knew I had to get it. It's a simple products that makes the perfect cup of tea using tea leaves.

Put in your sweetener, add your tea leaves and hot water and wallah - in a few seconds you'll have a delicious cup of tea. I bought the Perfect Tea Maker starter kit and an additional container of mint tea for my daughter; it's her favorite.

If you're a tea lover like me, I encourage you to try the Perfect Tea Maker. It's a reasonably priced, quality product; you won't be disappointed. It's also a good gift idea for the tea lover in your life.

Check out the Perfect Tea Maker starter kit below, which includes the 16oz. Perfect Tea Maker, 1lb. beet rock sugar and 8oz. chai orange flavored tea.

2. Tom's Avalon Slip-On

I'm obsessed with these Avalon Slip-On from Toms because when I wear these shoes it feels like I'm walking on a cloud. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe. I'll admit I'm very late to the Toms bandwagon. I'm not a fan of their popular flats. I never understood the appeal of their shoes because to me it seemed like a simple style that was being sold at a seriously marked up price. However, these shoes were too comfortable to pass up and it's vegan! Comfortable and environmentally friendly two of my favorite qualities in a shoe. Trust me, you'll fall in love with them too. I bought my pair at Nordstrom Rack, but you can find it here on the Toms website

3. The Nikon B500

The Nikon B500 is a 20 megapixel, HD, wifi enabled camera, I bought to improve my blog pictures and to use for my consulting work. You can't take pictures for brochures, leaflets and flyers with an iPhone.

This camera takes awesome high resolution photos and I'm practicing with it every chance I get. It's easy to take pictures using my iPhone but the quality of the pictures on the B500 are far better than that of the iPhone. So far I've taken nature shots, pictures of a client's office and pictures of my furbabies. My furbabies are so photogenic when they sit still.

Anyway back to the camera, my favorite thing about the Nikon B500 is that with the wifi connectivity, pictures are automatically uploaded to my iPhone, in addition to my Nikon gallery. I chose to buy the Nikon B500 because it received good reviews on Amazon, Best Buy and Target's websites. It's definitely a great starter camera for a novice photographer like me.

What do you think about these products I recommended? And please share with me anything your currently obsessed.
